New “Velocity” tool empowers brand marketers to build vertical video advertising – quickly, easily, and efficiently
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (August 22, 2016) — Vertical video has quickly become one of the most talked-about media formats among brand marketers. However, transitioning campaign dollars to vertical video comes with a number of challenges: whether both horizontal and vertical versions of video ads need to be created, how to repurpose horizontal video to vertical, and the need to secure both ad design and video production teams, to make it all happen. No longer.
Flite, an industry-leading Creative Management Platform (CMP), today unveiled Velocity, the industry’s first user-friendly, scalable ad building tool for vertical video. Flite built Velocity to remove the complexities and excessive costs of creating vertical video ads, and allows brand marketers to build the ads themselves. Using existing brand assets and data from virtually any source, marketers can also add interactive elements and 1:1 personalization components from the Flite CMP platform.
“With Snapchat leading the charge, vertical video is quickly becoming a ‘must-buy’ in the brand marketer’s tool kit,” said Giles Goodwin, CEO, Flite. “With Instagram entering the vertical video space and publishers such as the Washington Post and Flipboard already offering it, it made perfect sense for us to create an ad builder that’s as easy as three clicks.”
“At 4C, we’re seeing strong demand for vertical video and it’s the personalized executions that are performing best,” said Lance Neuhauser, CEO, 4C. “Products like Velocity will help brands quickly and effectively deliver more impactful creative at scale.”
Building a vertical video advertisement on Flite’s Velocity is simple. Drag and drop an existing horizontal video into the builder. Editing tools allow you to scale, trim, pan, jump cut, and add filters, themes or templates. Branding, CTA and interactive elements can also be layered on top of the video itself. The resulting vertical video creative can easily be downloaded and bundled with interactive ad units created in Flite’s CMP platform.
As another industry ‘first’, Flite’s Velocity includes state-of-the-art face detection technology during the re-purposing of video, keeping the focus centered around one key object or character, making the editing process even easier to manage.
Flite is currently offering Velocity to a select group of beta partners.
