Content Partnership Amplifies the ‘Brands as Publishers Movement’ - Enables Brands To Instantly Deliver Quality News Within Display Ads
San Francisco, CA – July 2, 2012 – Flite, the advertising effectiveness company, today announced a partnership with NewsCred, a platform that connects publishers and brands with the world’s best news sources.
The partnership between Flite and Newscred allows brands to feature, license, and curate articles from top news sources, such as Associated Press, The Economist, Forbes, and Reuters. Most of the over 850 news sources will be available through the Flite Ad Studio to incorporate into brands’ digital ads. Viewers of these ads can browse a list of curated news stories and read full-length articles within the ad unit.
The Newscred service is offered as an app through the Flite Hub marketplace, which already includes a wide array of third-party apps for ads, such as digital sweepstakes, social coupons, and live chat. The NewsCred app displays a real-time feed of news articles that are filtered by topic or selected individually by the advertiser. Using the Flite Platform, advertisers can configure the Newscred app in minutes and update live campaigns with fresh news content in real-time. With this partnership, advertisers can curate news content to match their marketing message.
“Content marketing is a key strategic marketing goal for our customers. With our NewsCred relationship, Flite now provides brands instant access to a pipeline of licensed content that can be filtered, curated, and seamlessly matched with the brand’s content marketing goals,” said CEO Will Price.
“Our partnership with Flite fuses brands’ needs to engage content marketing strategies with their core advertising initiatives,” said NewsCred CEO Shafqat Islam. “We’re going to see more of these unique delivery tactics being activated in the coming months and we’re happy to be at the forefront of this innovation.”
